Here’s some news from the furniture retailer Furniture123 – which we’ve featured on MyBathroomFinder from the beginning thanks to its striking and original range of bathroom cabinets.

That range has recently expanded quite dramatically – where once you’d shop here for a particular type of antique look, now there is a wide selection of contemporary styles instead.

For instance, if you’re looking for either white furniture or wood with white accents, this is a great place to start. We suggest checking out the Fresh and Elegance ranges – both discounted at time of writing. If you’re looking for lighter wood, check out the Maxus range.

If your tastes run to something a bit more rustic, try the Campana range in pine. If a distinctive wood effect in your bathroom appeals, try the nicely contemporary Malta or the striking Splash in dark beech. Other hot picks for this style include Balto – our personal favourite – and the darker Cuba.

And it’s not just bathroom furniture. This retailer also sells linen baskets and storage.

Furniture 123 has also launched a next-day delivery service on some of its best-selling ranges which it says is proving extremely popular, and which is due to be extended in the coming weeks – check the website for details.

And here’s what it has to say about another new scheme in the works: “For six days a week over the next couple of months we are also going to be running a regular series of Double Discount Sales, allowing customers to save an extra 5 per cent off our usual sale prices.”

A couple more deals that are worth bringing to your attention from Screwfix this week – and they’re both on radiators:

Homeware store Bhs is offering up to 50 per cent off certain lines – and there are some bathroom bargains to be had, if you’re prepared to hunt.

Although it’s not trailed particularly heavily, we found reductions in the bathroom accessories section when we checked this morning, plus savings on plain towels.

These offers are for a limited time only. We don’t have a definite final date from the retailer so, as ever with these things, act as quick as you can if you want to snap up a bargain.

Edit: We’ve just been sent a note warning that the Bhs website will be down for maintenance between about 10.30am on Monday 22nd September and about 3pm the next day, Tuesday 23rd September. Given that IT projects always overrun, it might be wise not to expect to see it again for an hour or two after that time…

A number of popular offers from B&Q have now ended, but the home improvements giant is continuing with a few 40 per cent reductions in its bathroom range, and some other tempting offers.

The following offers have now ended: 40 per cent off any bathroom or shower solution (though there are still reductions on selected products – see below), a bathroom suite for £600, interest-free credit for up to five years, 15 per cent off all towel and designer radiators.

The following bathroom deals are still current:

• Save over £222.34 on luxury whirlpool bath systems – now cut in price to £326.66
• 40 per cent off selected order-only bathrooms and shower enclosures (offer ends 25th September)
• 40 per cent off selected bathroom taps (offer ends 25th September)

The Big Bathroom Shop is holding a summer sale with big savings available on suites, shower baths and shower enclosures.

The retailer points in particular to “big savings on selected Balterley bathroom suites and a great choice of genuine Roca hydrotherapy units with massive reductions” and says: “It’s the perfect chance to treat for yourself to a new bathroom.”

So, what’s looking good? We liked the following offers:

Make sure you pop along to the Marks and Spencer website this weekend – there’s a couple of deals that anyone looking for some summer bathroom bargains should know about.

First up, there’s 30 per cent off furniture. Now, it’s never been entirely clear to us whether M&S includes its bathroom furniture range in these sales and, when we’ve tried to check, we’ve got no joy either.

However, we found a number of offers on Laska and Sonoma bathroom furniture items (which are listed in the cabinet furniture section). We remain unsure whether this is the latest sale or some other discount at work – but money off is money off.

So definitely worth checking out, we feel.

The 20 per cent off homewares is somewhat more straightforward. It covers loads of relevant stuff including accessories, bath mats and towels. This offer runs until August 31.
