Bhs: up to 50 per cent off in homeware event

Homeware store Bhs is offering up to 50 per cent off certain lines – and there are some bathroom bargains to be had, if you’re prepared to hunt.

Although it’s not trailed particularly heavily, we found reductions in the bathroom accessories section when we checked this morning, plus savings on plain towels.

These offers are for a limited time only. We don’t have a definite final date from the retailer so, as ever with these things, act as quick as you can if you want to snap up a bargain.

Edit: We’ve just been sent a note warning that the Bhs website will be down for maintenance between about 10.30am on Monday 22nd September and about 3pm the next day, Tuesday 23rd September. Given that IT projects always overrun, it might be wise not to expect to see it again for an hour or two after that time…

We know that M&S is a popular retailer with MyBathroomFinder readers – so you may be interested to learn that it has launched a new one-stop offers page on its website.

Click here and you’ll find everything listed that’s on special offer – including a brand spanking new homeware section that, we hope, will include a few of those lovely bathroom bargains that you read this blog to find out about.

So, is there anything good? Well, to be honest, there are a couple of things that we knew about and have featured already – clearance on Supima bath towels and reversible bath mats.

Bhs is having a homewear summer sale with many of its lines offered at up to half their oiginal prices. The event kicks off on Wednesday June 25 and runs until Thursday July 17.

This may be one to bookmark and check out, as the discounts are available online – and this store, which promises “modern living made easy,” has a nice selection of bathroomware, including mirrors, plain and patterned towels, storage and accessories.

Our favourite products (no suggestion that these will be reduced, they just caught our eye as we were browsing round) include the Pampas bath mat – do not attempt to stand on this if you get out of the shower with a hangover!

The Word accessories range made us smile – especially the toilet brush with a one-word instruction explaining what it’s for.

And the Hampton white bamboo laundry bin is the perfect style accent if you’re looking for a comfortable, folksy but still stylish and practical bathroom look.
