This summer’s colour? White, of course.

We always think The White Company is one of the more interesting stores we work with here at MyBathroomFinder, with its basic idea of selling pretty much anything you need for your home so long as it’s white – and its summer sale means you can make great savings while you check it out.

The White Company was set up in 1994 by magazine editor Chrissie Rucker when she, her future husband Nick Wheeler and his sister Susie were all fitting out new homes.

They each independently ran into trouble finding white bed linen, towels, napkins and so on in the space between stupidly-priced designer items and bargain basement tat. Clearly, there was a gap in the market.

The result was The White Company – initially no more than a 12-page mail order catalogue, but still enough for Chrissie to quit her job and take a punt on developing her new business.

Now, the business has expanded beyond mail order to have real-world stores too, selling linen cupboard essentials such as towels, clothes including bathrobes, house and bathroom accessories, luxury bath and body products and two whole children’s ranges called Little White Clothing and Little White Home.
