Here’s a cautionary tale about a family from Halifax that got into trouble after paying for an extended warranty on their bathroom, when the firm that had collected the money went into administration:

Family’s £12,000 bathroom warranty is useless after firm enters administration

A HALIFAX bathroom company has gone into administration leaving a family counting the cost of a worthless guarantee.

The Gibson family, of School Lane, Bradshaw, Halifax, paid Award Bathrooms £200 for a “certificate of warranty” to extend their one year guarantee to three years.

But they are now finding to their cost that the King Cross Street firm has no legal obligation to honour the certificate and the guarantee has no accredited insurance backing. Read full story here…
